  • Using RDi for non-iSeries Java development?

RDi is based on the Eclipse IDE, which is one of the most popular Java IDEs

Does that mean that RDi has all of Eclipse's capabilities included, and therefore that it can still be used to develop Java applications on the local PC without involving the iSeries?

You might have to install the necessary plugins, but it should work.

I wouldn't. I keep a separate Eclipse install for Java.
