  • Does the as/400 log telnet connections / mac addresses somewhere by default?

    Hi all,
Do you know if the AS400 creates a telnet connection log anywhere in a library/file that I can query, or would it have needed to be a bespoke pgm to do it?

    Thanks

From the IBM i 7.3 Telnet manual:
    Auditing Telnet server connections
To audit incoming connections to the Telnet server, enable audit level *NETTELSVR for system value QAUDLVL or QAUDLVL2. The audit value *NETTELSVR replaces the System Service Tools (SST) Advanced Analysis command IPCONFIG option skTelnetServerAudit used to configure auditing the Telnet server in releases before IBM® i 7.3. A successful Telnet connection produces an SK-A journal entry when the Telnet server successfully accepts an incoming connection. For more information, see Auditing Telnet server connections.
