I can't edit my posts?

From what other users have said there should be a button that lets me edit my posts. But I don't see that icon, and it looks like some other users don't either.

Is there some requirement users have to meet (e.g. number of posts) before editing is allowed?

Yes, there is a requirement; but the actual rules are an exercise for new members.

Each of has been through the "new member" status. Once the initial days have passed, the forum community is well worth the entry effort.

I don't have the ability to edit my posts, either. (And I'm not a new member!)
