  • Enddbmon database monitor

I set out to clean up our disk space last week because we were at 80% utilization. I ran across over 100,000 PFs in QUSRSYS named QODB*. When I deleted all of them utilization dropped to 34%. That's fairly significant on a 1,986gb system.

My problem is apparently I'm too dumb to stop these things from being created or don't know how to manage them correctly.

Can anyone lend me a hand on this problem. I've banged my head against this wall for almost a week now and am not getting anywhere with ENDDBMON.

As usual, thanks so much for your help, occasionally I do have to come to the top of the mountain for help.

I'm not familiar with the DB monitors but I suspect the ENDDBMON is ending current monitors but new ones may still be starting.
The IBM redbook http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg246654.pdf has some info on ending these for ODBC connections which might be of assistance.
