Restoring from weekly tape backup

I need to restore an object from the weekly tape backup but my experience to RSTOBJ is using my personal SAVFs only. The backups are done using GO BACKUP and saved to robotic tape libraries.

I have tried using RSTOBJ and specifying the Date when saved but I can't get anything. Any suggestions?

Justin,

You don't provide very much information about the issue you're encountering.

The SAVLIB parameter of the RSTOBJ command indicates to the system where on the tape to find the object you're looking for. If that library was saved onto the tape, the restore should find it.

What errors are you seeing in the job log for the restore?
