Maximum parameters for a webservice on IWS?

Hi Scott/All,

Does IWS still have a limit of 7 parameters? or this has changed now.
I was trying to deploy a web service with 26 parameters and it was successful.
Just wanted to confirm whether my understanding of 7 parameters was correct?

The 7 parameter limit is when calling a subprocedure. If you're calling a program, that limit does not apply.

I'm not sure if anything has changed.

Edited to reflect that Scott has pointed out that I had the limits backwards!

If I recall correctly, the limit of 7 parameters applies to procedures. You can have a much larger number when using a program.

But I have to ask why on you have so many parameters? Apart from anything else the more parms the slower the process. Why not pass a data structure? The web services I have created typically only have one to three parms and make use of data structures.
