  • Set text as Non Display in AFPDS printer file

Good morning, I am trying to set certain lines in my printer file to only print under certain situations. It is text only, a line that the user would physically write on after the item is printed. There are 4 possible lines and I only want to print each line to match the count entered on the previous screen.

I was trying to use indicators similar to a DSPF, but not working. Can't I just set an indicator on this line to only print if that indicator is on? Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

On the field you want to print or not print you put the indicator on that line. Prompt the line via SEU you can specify up to 3 indicators. If you just put the indicator in there it will print if the indicator is turned on, if you prefix it with an N it will print if the indicator is turned off.

Thank you Rocky, I had an 'or' situation with the indicators, and was not starting them in the right location when it came to the start of the line definition. I did figure it out and have my printing working properly.

Thank you for the reply and have a good day.
