STRSDA option #3 - test display files

How do I get this function to work?
Initially, I wanted to test a SFL so I started SDA, option 3, selected the SFL to test, but got a message about setting the indicators for SFLDSP and SFLDSPCTL so I added INDDTA to the SFLDSPCTL record but then I got 2 messages; first was above the function key line and stated "Window does not exist". The second was under the function key line and stated "File cannot be tested because exception CPF500A occurred." So, I added the footer record which, because this is a window, has the dimensions of said window. Then, I got a message stating that the SFLRCDNBR (which is in the SFLDSPCTL keyword) is invalid but it doesn't offer me the field to set it, only the SFLREC number field is provided.

HELP please!

I guess no one uses this option any more.

When you select the record format, SDA should show a list of fields associated with it. For a subfile, you need to select the control record and set the relevant indicator(s) etc in order to display the subfile.

I will try that approach instead of starting with the SFL.
