under the covers...sure. if you RTVQMQRY on the QUERY/400 query you'll see the SQL statement. this day and age i'd opt for creating the query using QM queries or by writing an RPGLE with embedded SQL. using Query/400 will force the process to run using the CQE instead of the SQE which runs waaay faster.

this day and age i'd opt for creating the query using QM queries or by writing an RPGLE with embedded SQL.

It's DB2 Web Query for me!
