  • print color from native CL/RPG

When we print a spooled file to our printer INTLDOC from native CL/RPG, the color part of the overlay is black.
When we print the same spooled to our printer INTLDOC using iSeries Navigator, the color part of the overlay is in color (as desired) .

It would be very nice if we could print color from native CL/RPG.

We tried setting up a 3812 device description, then a remote outq, not sure what to try next.
    Printer is a LEXMARK CS410dn.

Does anyone have an idea how to specify a print device description or remote outq that can do color, or, have any suggestions that might lead to color printing ?

    Would be much obliged.

Any chance you can supply sample code and configuration that will demonstrate the problem?

We wound up creating a FormSprint form (3rd-party ICS Software product) to solve, for this particular project.
