    Question PC Locking Up When Installing iSeries Access for Windows

    It starts to install but all I get is a small window with a big red circle with an X in it. Never had this one before. Bizarre.

    Sounds like Windows may be blocking the install. Check that you have admin rights on the PC. Also check if Data Execution Prevetion is enabled.

    Thanks for the hint -- we tried DEP. Same thing. The person working on this Googled "Red Circle with X" -- the response was that it was due to a virus. This computer just came back from the shop with Windows completly reinstalled.
