  • Is RPGIII inside RPGLE wrapper slower?

I've got a followup question regarding one of our coders that insists on coding RPGIII inside an RPGIV wrapper.

My question now is, will the program run slower if it is using RPGIII operands and techniques?

if has no effect on performance...but if their codes sucks it will have performance problems regardless of syntax, opcodes, etc.

I have no statistics to back this up, but I believe that an RPGLE program runs faster than an RPG program, for what it's worth.
