  • nother example of read IFS

Here is another "boring" example of how to read
an ifs file and populate a table on the iseries.

You wont be able to use it directly cause of some
specifics in our environment, but I have included
all the "stuff" you will need to test.

    Debug is your friend!

so create the file & logical ... create a folder on
the IFS under root called sigmanest.

compile the program and put in debug....

The format of the file was interesting.
It was extracted from a drawing program (sigmanest)
as a .csv which is what makes it interesting it
created without commas..... can you say WHAT !?!??!!

Hope this helps someone out there who,
has no date for the prom, no hobbies and two flat tires ,
    fill their day.

So what do you call a .csv file with no commas? How do you know what values are what?

I had to scan for multiple double quotes.....
the program is truely a train wreck....but it does work.
the project is on hold...for other reasons....but
I thought Id share its small enough not to hurt anyone

        Happy friday
