  • Convert Old Style Printer Files Defined in O-Spec to PRTF File

    Hello,

I have got a new project in which i had to look for Old Style Printer Files (defined in RPG programs in O-Spec.) and convert them into new externally defined Printer files.

Can any one suggest me how to proceed further for this project. Is there any thing like DSPFFD/DSPFD for RPG??

Or it can only be done through source parsing??

Plz help me in this regard.

    Thanks..

Old style printer files are like flat files (non-externally described), and thus there is no field definitions to dump from the program--at least as they relate to the printer output. I think source parsing is the only way.

          Hi

Report Designer from Gumbo Software has this option too.
