    how can see the rpg code in hex mode

    The easiest way that comes to mind is to do a DSPPFM
    DSPPFM FILE(QGPL/PROOF)
    Press F10 to get HEX (Then F11 if you want over and under)
    The other option is to use a Hex editor on the PC side

        hi,

        i want to use colors in the source
        i was told to change the 5 bit with the value i want (22H exp.)
        i assumed that i need to change to hex mode

          Just a guess...

          Because that's how you change the colors of the source in SEU, by inserting hex codes in the source that correspond to the colors used by the 5250 data stream.

              If you want to add color in SEU and you are using Client Access, there is an easy way to set up the hex codes in the keyboard map so you don't have to worry about getting into hex mode to change them. There are some instructions in the code samples in the "Other" section about 7/8 the way down I attached a screenshot of how I use it.
