Question...
Does anyone know of a way to close a port after the program that
opened it has ended? I have a program that sets up a connection that runs all day. However, when the machine powers down and re-IPLs each night, the program ends abnormally and the port is left open. When the program is automatically submits to run in the morning, it cannot establish a connection because there's already a port to that IP address and remote port open...or so it thinks. I need to be able to shut that port down just before the program reestablishes the connection.
Thanks,
K
