I need to extract files used in query definition object - *QRYDFN. Is there any command to do so?
1. You can dump the query and you will find the files listed new the bottom of the printout. The information is not always given though.
2. You can use the X-Cmd (search this site) which also dumps the query.
3. You can use the XrefIT. The free version will return proper results.
Point 1 is as at v5r4, I am not sure if IBM have improved things in v6/7.

Thanks Everyone,... I think I tried RTVQMQRY on *QRYDFN but it did not work. I will confirm it tomorrow. I also have hawkeye pathfinder, but havent used so far. I will explore that one to see if there is any option to extract query definition.
hawkeye will not give you the join info, etc but it will capture the files used by the query.
