  • Using MMAIL on private iSeries

I am using MMAIL on an iSeries that is does not have a public domain name, and the recipient of emails I send using the EML... commands show they are received from my public ip address (72.xxx.xxx.xxx). This causes problems because (I think) some email servers cannot verify that I am who I say I am.

Emails composed and sent using AMAILER from an Internet user account show they are received from the email address in the sender's AMAILER profile.

How do I incorporate into my email-sending programs the AMAILER ability to make emails appear to as received from a known email address?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    - Make sure that your user profile is documented in System Directory (WRKDIRE).
    - Use option 2 to update it and press F19 to add your email address
