Adding security.provider entries

I'm running a Tomcat app that requires additional security providers. Per the app documentation, I added them to the java.security file for my JVM (/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk626/32bit/jre/lib/security/java.security). All was well and good, until I put on PTF's over the weekend. The PTF's replaced the java.security file, and now the app no longer works.

Anyone know if there's somewhere I can add the providers that IBM won't step on?
