    Re: hi

If you install Client access in your PC it will get intergrated to your MS EXcel .no need to install client access in MS Excel.

First install MS Excel and then install the C A . After the reboot . open MS Exel go to Tools -->Add Ins .you will be able to see the iSeries Client Data Transfer . Just select .

HI, if for some strange reason the add-in is not there , drill down to the following directory to click it.

      C:\Program File\IBM\Client Access\Shared
name of file is : cwbtfxla.xll

        Re: hi

If you select the default install of Client Access I think it fails to install the ODBC drivers that excel needs.

Go through custom set-up and you should see the options to add them during install.

BTW please start a new thread for a new question digging up a thread that is years old does nothing but clutter up the forums, screw up searches, and confuse people (sometimes) into rehashing the original issue that has already been solved...that should have been a no-brainer but apparently too many people can't grasp the concept!
