Last night there was a message on qsysopr. It was CPF4128, apparently there was a file that was locked and i am trying to figure out what had it locked. Since the job has ended i can't do a wrkobjlck. How can i find out what had the file locked?

How to tell what locked

Once the job ends, its virtually impossible to tell what/who was locking a file. You can check the job log but they're not usually much help You can also print the system log for the timeframe that the lock occured and see if you can spot another process that may have been active/started at around the time of the lock... In my experience, tracking down possible locks "after the fact" is a crap shoot...lol

The CPF4128 message itself should include the name of the locked file (or member).Tom
