I have a HP LaserJet Pro M402n attached to Windows 7 64 bit pc using USB. I created an iSeries printer session and used HPT HP5. The printer is created on the iSeries, but when I send something to the Queue, it appears in the spooler on the PC for a split second, but nothing prints. PC is running V7R1M0 SI55797. Very frustrated.

Re: printer session HP LaserJet Pro M402n items don't print
According to: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docvie...d=nas8N1019534, although the M402N isn't listed, many of the M-series printers are "host-based".
I think that means that they won't work.

Re: printer session HP LaserJet Pro M402n items don't print
OK, we just ran into a similar issue with a HP M605 - couldn't get it to print via printer session, but the following config for direct-attached worked perfectly:
CRTDEVPRT DEVD(PRINTERNAME) DEVCLS(*LAN) TYPE(3812) MODEL(1) +
LANATTACH(*IP) PORT(9100) ATTACH(*DIRECT) ONLINE(*YES) +
FONT(11 *NONE) FORMFEED(*AUTOCUT) SEPDRAWER(*FILE) +
PRTERRMSG(*INFO) MSGQ(*CTLD) ACTTMR(170) INACTTMR(*SEC15)
LINESPEED(19200) WORDLEN(8) PARITY(*NONE) STOPBITS(1) +
TRANSFORM(*YES) MFRTYPMDL(*RICOHAP3200) PPRSRC1(*LETTER)
PPRSRC2(*LETTER) ENVELOPE(*NUMBER10) ASCII899(*YES) +
IMGCFG(*NONE) CHRID(*SYSVAL) +
RMTLOCNAME('10.10.10.10') SYSDRVPGM(*HPPJLDRV)
Cheers,
Emmanuel
