  • The value for the field containing SFLRCDNBR is invalid

    Hi,
I'm trying to test a sub file using option #3 of Start SDA and although I do have the sub file display field defined, it isn't listed on the Set Test Output Data screen and when I proceed, I get the message I used as the subject of this post.

    Any Ideas?

    Red.

When I try this, my SFLRCDNBR field does appear on the set test output data screen, and if I set it to a valid value, it works properly. (If I set an invalid value, I get the error you cite.)

Can you post your definition so we understand what you may be doing differently?

It's been a long while since I did a subfile (or any green screen), so I do not remember if this is exactly right. But if I remember correctly, when testing a subfile record with STRSDA you have to specify the control record, not the subfile record.

Apologies for not responding sooner but I found the cause and corrected it.
          Thank anyway for your time.
