  • Setting backgound color 5250 emulation for particular user

I would need to know, if is it possible to set the workstation background
color depending a particular user name; after signon i would need to set
background color o ther like charatcer color via Client access. I need this
why user need to know in which branch is working

in midrange.com (https://archive.midrange.com/midrang.../msg00439.html ) , Bryan suggest me to use macro , but i have not idea how to .. can some help me with some example or link ?

I'm not sure the link you provided is going to do what you need. As far as I know, once the Client Access session has *started* you cannot change the color palette because the application is already *alive* and running.

Have you considered creating a second desktop icon that points to a different workstation file...one that contains the color settings you want?

Another possibility might be to create a batch process using something like WinBatch that would determine the user-id of the person currently logged into the PC and based on this user-id it could launch Client Access pointing to a specific workstation file (.ws)
