Connect Mac to IFS on IBM i (AS400) 7.1

Does anyone have experience connecting a MacBook to IBM i? I have problems mapping an IBM i network drive to my Mac. I can connect the IBM i and see all directories and files under the IFS Network Shared. I can even create sub directories and copy files to it, no problem. But when I try to save a file from an text editor I instant lose the connection.

Any suggestion?

Hi Bent,

the only way I find is true cifs, if you try from finder go to Connect to server, and the you try:

cifs://user@ibmI/yourshare

this is with the netserver started, I've never try with samba probably it will work better.
