hi all, just to introduce myself to other users. Im a recent aquisition to a company and recently have started coding in rpg. im glad to find a comunity to share experiance with .
Well my first question for you guys is. how long are u coding in rpg or involved in a as400 enviroment?

yeah, jamie has been coding rpg since i was 13

i'm just an rpg wannabee =) i've been interfacing with the as400 with java lately, but mainly just for db queries and program calls.

Did the oposite had a java training and now programming in rpg. well they say that in the future we will leave rpg and go to java dont know. rpg is still a powerfull use database language.
But my goal in 3/4 years is to be a system admin why not be an iseries admin
